[Alfred makes a considering sound. He had seen the posts on the network and the resulting outcomes - at least those that had been publicly accessible. Nevertheless, if Richard doesn't contact Bruce soon, perhaps Bruce will have to be pushed into making contact.
He does, however, allow the focus to shift to their gifts. That was the reason he'd traveled to this city, after all, and he smiles at Richard's enthusiasm. It's not an emotion he often senses from the other imPorts or his family. But it's a welcome change.] I believe, Master Richard, that I did.
[Richard should probably check the box again though. There's a laptop in the bottom. And then, perhaps, they can move on to actually seeing the motorcycle.]
[ And when he sees it, he grins even wider, if that's possible. ]
And a Bat-laptop? [ He laughs, and it feels like the first time in a long time. It's really been quite a week. And he's still not sure that he deserves any of this — not having just come off a colossally stupid series of decisions. ]
Master Bruce and I have decided that, despite making some rather rash decisions, you should still be kept in the know about current events. While I'm certain you have your own sources as well, that laptop will link to the main computer. It's a responsibility, not a toy, and we may use it to communicate with you. [But he's certain that Richard already knows that. Some things simply bear communicating so that all parties have an understanding.]
Your new toys [Because useful or not, these particular gifts were not strictly necessary.] do, however, come with conditions. Family breakfast at least twice a week and Robin is expected to make an appearance alongside Batman that often, as well. Wallace is welcome at breakfast, but not on patrol.
[The invitation to breakfast is more courtesy than anything, although Alfred wouldn't object to his being there. Even so, he's less impressed with Wallace's behavior than Richard's and it didn't seem as though Bruce had been overly impressed with the teenager either.]
[ Dick nods along with Alfred's conditions. Not a toy, that's fine (he makes a lot of his responsibilities into toys anyway, but there's nothing wrong with enjoying your work, is there?), links to the main computer, awesome, family breakfast, weird but good, he's getting lonely, patrol— ... patrol? ]
[The door is held open for Richard, although Alfred does pause so that the apartment might be locked up before walking down the street. He heads further into the less savory area of town, making the nearby warehouse district. Their path ends at one of the warehouses, large enough, but otherwise unremarkable. Alfred pulls a key out of his pocket and opens the side door to the right of a good sized garage door. He turns on the lights and closes the door behind them.
Inside the warehouse is a clean space. There are a few sealed cardboard boxes stacked against the walls and the beginnings of a makeshift computer station in the back left corner. In the middle of the floor is a custom red bike without any make or model identifiers. There is, however, an "R" emblazoned on its side.]
Master Bruce and I thought it might be prudent to have a "base" of sorts in the area. Of course, you and your team are welcome to use this place as well, although I do stress discretion. [Both the keys for the bike and the warehouse are held out for Richard.]

Jeez, what'd I do right? This is way too nice.

And now, [He holds out a keychain with two identical keys on it before gesturing towards the door.] if you're up for a bit of a walk?
